Acclaimed by reviewers in the UK and USA, Nick Allmark's songs tell stories, often about the characters, history and folklore of his native Shropshire. There's more personal stuff too and songs about travels in Scotland and North America - all contemporary acoustic music rooted in the folk tradition.

Live shows feature his trademark driving guitar style with plenty of opportunity to join in the infectious choruses.

Nick has performed at clubs and festivals in the USA and UK. He has been featured on Pennsylvania radio stations WVIA and WQSU and on the New Jersey show "Down Jersey". A recent performer for the prestigious Philadelphia Folk Song Society, Nick was also a finalist in the Glasgow Fringe Festival Songwriting Competion 2006.

During the winter 2006/07 he will be recording material for a new CD. Currently available recordings are the CD's "Coracle Man" and "Escape on 220".

Nick is one of the hosts at the famous Taybank Acoustic Music Club in Dunkeld and is involved with organising the Taybank Songwriters Festival.
