Escape On 220
The morning sun,
the heat haze,
the traffic rolling by,
The farms, the fields, the river,
next to Highway Four O Five,
You can't stop now,
The phones ringing,
Your always running around,
Too many people calling,
Making more demands on your time.

I want to take you away,
Let's leave here tonight,
Let's make our escape on Two Twenty,
Heading North to the state line.

At High Rocks and Eaglesmere,
We'll get some time by the water,
Cloud watching and talking,
Until the day is through,
Heading to Towanda,
Looking for a quiet place to live,
Still dreaming about that cabin,
Somewhere high up in the hills.

I want to take you away,
Let's leave here tonight,
Let's make our escape on Two Twenty,
Heading North to the state line.
